A RARE opportunity to learn a new dance approach and observe this unique dance style from internationally acclaimed artists. Discover the art of Japanese “Butoh” dance with Vancouver’s Kokoro Dance principals Jay Hirabayashi and Barbara Bourget, founders of the Vancouver International Dance Festival. Discover their unique combination of contemporary dance and the body movement of traditional Butoh. Suitable for all dance levels.

Performance artist John Conway will take you on a creative journey and help you create a fantastical keepsake mask from beeswax and everyday materials. Have tons of fun and enjoy a novel creative experience with no special art skills required.

Limited to 10 participants. Must be 19+years old.

Learn the basics of all-grain brewing from an expert in the field from the master brewers at Wilson Creek U Brew. We will walk you through how various kinds of barley, hops, water, and yeast are combined to formulate a recipe for a desired style of beer. Learn more about "mash,"  "lautering", "wort" and "trub", and what happens during fermentation, flocculating and final bottling.

Join local ceramicist Beth Hawthorn and create your own clay terracotta planter using hand-building techniques and exploration of surface texturing. No experience required. All materials and firing costs included in the workshop fee.

Mark making. A process of creative discovery for all ages. Using found objects from around the house, garden or beach, create art with Sandy Buck by using the items to mark on watercolour paper and create a totally unique piece of art. Materials supplied, but you are invited to bring some of your own interesting objects for marking.

Ross Powell will review everything you need to know about making delicious table wines ( no, fruit wines do not have to be sweet) from nearly any kind of fruit (except grapes). Learn about equipment and space needed, additives, the vintning process, storage, and even try some samples.
